  • Important Note Work NOT approved by the Board is subject to being disqualified. If not on the list below, ask prior to doing the work and ALWAYS ASK FOR APPROVAL if to expecting payment or reimbursement for any work!!
  • Members 70 years of age are not required to submit work hours, unless desiring payment, then those hours must be approved prior to work being started.
  • Work hours are calculated as 15 hours @ $50.00 per hour = $750.00.
  • Options for members to fulfill work hour obligations (15 hrs):
    • Pay $750.00 to the HOA treasurer if no hours completed.
    • Pay the amount of hours less than 15 hrs due annually. Example: If 10 hrs were completed for the year, (15 hrs – 10 hrs = 5 hrs owed and calculated as 5 hrs x $50= $250 due to JPHOA.
    • Complete the 15 hours annually. Submit hours to the treasurer.
  • If ANY MEMBER DESIRES TO BE PAID FOR their hours, all HOURS & WORK must be approved by the BOD PRIOR to starting work. Amount will be determined by the BOD.

2026 Approved Work Hours

Contact any designated leads if you would like to assist on a project or area.

  • Mowing– Mowing of areas, (no more than every three weeks)- (see Map at bottom)
  • Weeds – Weed clearing/whacking (no more than every three weeks) (see Map)
  • Road Patching – Pothole repair etc. (request prior BOD approval for reimbursement)
  • Slalom Course repair – (request prior BOD approval for reimbursement).
  • Snow/Ice Removal – Snow/Ice can be cleared onsteep hills (Cemetery Hill, Northlake Hill and Southlake Hill).
  • Plowing – Can be done in all areas with 4 inches or more of snow. (Graham / Miller/Others)
  • Fallen Trees – Tree on roadways of 4″ or more of diameter
  • Small Trees – Remove small pines and trees from Bear Lake Dr – Lead- Johns
  • Painting of Bridge Railings – Lead – Pattons
  • Dock Removal – Remove Bear Lake Dock. Lead – Ryan Gergler (Miller, Others?)
  • Tennis Courts – Lead – Ken Lardie to evaluate
  • Road Edges – Crush/ Run Placement –Lead – Ryan Gergler (Miller, other Volunteers).
  • Culvert Clearing – Culverts under roads require clearing. Lead?
  • Clearing Islands – Clear of dead trees/branches – Silt Control – Lead – Graham

  • Weather Hold till Oct/ Nov Trim Branches and Brush along roads- Lead- Miller
  • COMPLETE Repair Pontoon Boat – Late Apr
  • 30 May –  Clearing off along Bear lake shore line where trees and branches have fallen into the water and around the edges of the island areas.  This will be a very muddy and wet job for some, let’s have some dirty fun!  Lead?
  • 27 Jun –  Cutting and clearing Jennings Pond weeds and lily pads.  Again a dirty job but let’s get er done!  Lead – Paul. 
  • 18 Jul – Rip Rap Lift –  Move Rip Rap back into place along Bear Lake Dam Breast and elsewhere- Lead?
  • 22 Aug –Culvert Clearing – Culverts under roads clearing. Lead?
